Description
Controlpack’s Bio-V range is a stretch film solution designed to reduce the environmental impact of pallet wrapping operations without compromising the performance required to protect and stabilise goods.
Available in both automatic and manual Coreless versions, Bio-V film is suitable for pallet wrapping in logistics and industrial environments. Despite its biodegradable properties, it maintains resistance comparable to conventional plastic stretch films and can withstand a variety of climatic conditions.
According to the tests presented by Controlpack based on the ASTM D5511 standard, the material is designed to degrade into compounds that are non-toxic to the environment. Under the biodegradation conditions described by Controlpack, the film can transform into natural components such as inert humus, methane, CO₂ and water within approximately 5 years, without releasing toxic microparticles.
The Bio-V Coreless version eliminates the cardboard core, helping reduce waste after use. Removing the core also reduces unnecessary roll weight and allows more film rolls to be transported on the same pallet, helping optimise storage, transport and operator handling.
The raw materials used in Bio-V technology are also presented by Controlpack as compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 requirements and the ANVISA regulations specified by the manufacturer, supporting its use in applications requiring suitable conditions for food packaging.
